Mise-en-scene

Mise-en-scene is the camera angle in a video when they show you what is going on in  the scene with certain camera angles like a camera shot from high looking down makes the people look small and helpless, and if the camera is looking up at the person it makes them look strong and powerful. like on Jaws when the two people ran of secluding themselves from the warmth, light and safety of the fire and other people at the start of the scene. when they run off they run in between a fence symbolising a cage in other words they are trapped. Also they were about to swim in  the ocean when the day was about to end when the sun was going down symbolising the end of her life.

How are generic elements and camera angles used to create in the attic in the excersist

In the attic scene the camera man uses the point of view of what ever was in the attic and used objects to hide behind to create atmosphere and  suspense.
